History of TacMed

The founders of TacMed Training have been delivering tactical medical training to the police and security services since 1989 and were the first to incorporate the philosophies of tactical casualty combat care into the emergency medical response training courses delivered to the law enforcement community in Canada.

TacMed Approach

The TacMed Team takes a "lessons learned" approach to every aspect of the development and delivery of our training courses and through continued communications with our clients and partners is able to provide flexible and dynamic programmes to meet the increasing challenges of the tactical operational environment.

Our team is comprised of professionals with military, law-enforcement, tactical field medic experience, dive rescue and advanced life support paramedic training. Members of the TacMed Team are licensed and practicing in their fields of expertise allowing them to be current with the most recent changes within their individual disciplines.

We are the experts in the development of scenario-based training and through partnerships with allied emergency services are able to create realistic, austere environments in which course candidates can practice and apply their learning.

In addition to course development and delivery, TacMed Training also offers consultation services for logistic medical support, equipment needs and evaluation of candidates for certification and licensing within municipal, provincial and federal government agencies.
